Each period has its own building and that divide into century colour routes. Museé d’art ancient is known mainly Flemish art collection and old masters van Dyck and Rubens. Museé d’art moderne opened in 1984 is an interesting building.

Exhibits are located in eight floors and the remaining floors are used for temporary exhibitions. We can find the exhibits from 19.Century, but also an exiting collection of Belgian Surrealists works.
