Description:

The French choir Accentus presents a wide range of 19th century Romantic love songs with piano accompaniment.

Under the direction of Laurence Equilbey, Accentus has amazed both friend and foe with their mosaic of solo songs and transcriptions of orchestral works. They will be presenting an arrangement of Mahler’s Third Symphony specially composed for the KlaraFestival.

The uncontested highlight of this evening will be "Ich bin der Welt abhanden gekommen", an enchanting song about allowing yourself to release your attachment to the world. Mahler said: “This song expresses everything I am”.
